The Heckler backpack is a multi purpose urban commuter – it has a separate padded laptop storage (fits max. 40x30cm or 15.7”x11.8” laptops) at the back and plenty of smart smaller pockets for your essentials. This bag is constructed out of one layer CORDURA® material – so by default it is only water repellent. You can have an inner layer or waterproof layer as an extra option if you need enhanced waterproofness.

Horizontal zipper at the bag top allows you to reach its inside fast and comfortable way – and if you have something larger that will not fit from the top, there is a long zipper on the side of the bag for larger opening.

 

The back of the bag is 2 panels of an airflow material with ventillation in the middle of the back plus a grab handle at the top. Reflective stripe helps you remain visible during bad weather conditions.

 

Material

 

We use CORDURA® material as the outer layer of our bags. Military clothing and equipment are also made from it. UV-resistant, highly wear-resistant, impregnated material. The inner layer is made of waterproof tarpaulin. The larger bags are lined with a thicker truck tarpaulin, while the smaller ones are lined with a thinner, more wrinkle-resistant, lighter tarpaulin. On the messenger bag, the inner and outer layers are sewn separately, and we only join them together at the turn-off part, so the inner layer 'floats' inside the bag - so rainwater cannot seep in through the seams. The shoulder straps of our bags are made of seat belt webbing. The reflective strips come from 3M, the zippers and velcro are YKK products. Our suppliers of plastic accessories and buckles are Duraflex and YKK. 

Pockets

 

The Heckler’s outer is featuring two mesh pockets on the sides. MOLLE system for easy attaching any compatible pouch (or just a bicycle lamp), and rubberized webbing to carry larger items on the bag. Large zipper pocket at the front panel, and a small hidden pocket under the bag.Inside it features a large zipper pocket (30x20cm, 11.8”x7.9”) with two small mesh compartments inside.

Shoulder Strap

The shoulder strap of the bag is padded with a thick, 0.5 mm sponge for extra comfort.

The bag has a removable chest strap too.

Optional Extras

 

Inner waterproof lining: a waterproof lining can be requested as an extra for this bag, in which case we line the inside of the bag with a thin waterproof tarpaulin material.

Key holder carabiner: a plastic carabiner is placed inside the bag on which the keys can be hung.
